A joint statement by the agencies’ said that NIS also received from the Chamber a report on the challenges raised by its membership.
The NIS team has therefore, “committed to addressing the challenges that were highlighted and hopes to continue working closely with the Chamber in raising awareness with its membership on NIS’ procedures”.
The parties have agreed to meet again by the end of the first quarter of the year to follow-up on the resolution of the challenges discussed.
They have indicated their willingness to foster closer collaboration in a bid to ensure that the interests of the business community are addressed.
The Chamber had publicly expressed disappointment with the NIS’s services after it said it was in receipt of numerous complaints by individuals and Chamber members regarding the inefficiency of the NIS operations.
