GMCG making good use of networking opportunities at Energy Conference

Companies and exhibitors attending this year’s Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo are capitalising on opportunities offered through the oil and gas sector.

One such company is Global Maritime Consultancy Group (GMCG).

The company provides oil and gas services, including engineering, offshore structure design, maritime services and training, project management for offshore engineering services, as well as ship and barge designs.

Managing Director of the company’s Guyana location, Eshwar Baul, told Ignite News that GMCG is making good use of the opportunities provided through the conference and expo.

“It was good for us because we provide oil and gas services… We have tonnes and tonnes of leads, and it’s not just leads in terms of people who want our services. People come in—like University of Guyana students—who want to get into oil and gas… It was very good. One good thing is that it’s more about networking,” he said.

Baul added that the company hopes to secure a spot in the main auditorium next year and collaborate with more local shipping companies interested in its services.

“We want a main spot next year because this year we had the head of our Miami office, the head of our LA office, and the head of our Panama office here. Next year, we’re going to have the heads of our India, Lebanon, and Greece offices. All these people are going to be here. It’s going to be bigger next year, so we need a bigger booth, and we’re going to be even better,” he noted.

Baul reassured that the Guyana Energy Conference provides an opportunity for everyone involved to benefit, whether through speeches, interactions, or networking events.

“For example, the companies next door to us will come over, and we’ll go over to them. So, it’s not just about people coming from outside to participate—the participants themselves are networking with each other,” he assured.

The company, which has been operating in Guyana for four years without any marketing, has now partnered with Impressions for brand management services.
