Bretnol Greenidge, 32, died in an accident on the eastern carriageway of Takuba Public Road, Meadow Brook, Georgetown, on Saturday.
The crash involved a Nissan Note, license plate PYY 3577, driven by a 17-year-old unlicensed driver from Meadow Brook Drive, and a red 110cc Haojue motorcycle (CL 2067), owned by Greenidge of Bamboo Drive, Meadow Brook.
According to a police report, the car was travelling south along the eastern side of the eastern carriageway, while Greenidge was heading north on the western side—without wearing a helmet.
The teenage driver alleged that Greenidge was swerving when he lost control after sliding on a patch of sand.
He fell onto the roadway and into the path of the oncoming car.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) arrived at the scene and examined Greenidge. Dr. Kissoon was contacted and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
