Keishan Ramnauth, Ameer Subhan, and Dennis Gilkes lost their lives in separate road accidents over the weekend.

Early Monday morning, a head-on collision at No. 79 Public Road claimed the lives of Ramnauth, 18, and Subhan, 21.

Ramnauth was riding a motorcycle with Adrian Inshan, 22, as a pillion rider when he lost control at high speed and crashed into Subhan, who was traveling in the opposite direction.

The force of the impact reportedly threw all three men onto the roadway.

Ramnauth and Subhan were pronounced dead at the scene, while Inshan was hospitalized with critical injuries.

A day earlier, on Sunday evening, Gilkes, 64, a pedestrian with no fixed address, was fatally struck by a motor lorry on Williamsburg Public Road.

The vehicle was driven by Nicholas Yadram, 24, of Kilcoy Chesney Village. Gilkes succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police are investigating the accidents. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to use the roadways with caution, care, courtesy, consideration, and common sense.
