The fifth edition of the Guyana Energy Conference & Supply Chain Expo (GECSCE) is scheduled to take place from 17 to 20 February 2026 at the Guyana Marriott Hotel.
According to a release, the forum will be held under the theme “Building Tomorrow’s Future Today” and is expected to bring together global leaders, industry experts, investors, and innovators to explore actionable strategies for sustainable development, digital transformation, and resilient economies.
GECSCE said this theme reflects the urgent need to take decisive action now in order to secure a sustainable and prosperous future for Guyana and the wider Caribbean region.
The release noted that Guyana stands at a pivotal point in its development, with its rapidly growing energy sector and vast natural resources offering unparalleled opportunities. However, realising these opportunities requires forward-thinking strategies that emphasise sustainability, innovation, and inclusive growth.
Among the key topics to be explored at the conference are leveraging Guyana’s oil and gas resources to fund renewable energy projects and reduce carbon emissions; the role of technology in enhancing efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness in the energy and supply chain sectors; and strengthening regional partnerships to ensure energy security and economic resilience across the Caribbean. Discussions will also include cross-border energy trade and partnerships, public-private collaborations in energy and infrastructure, global best practices in energy policy and regulation, and updates on major projects within the energy sector and related industries.
The release noted that by focusing on these critical areas, the conference aims to bridge the gap between current challenges and future solutions, ensuring that Guyana’s development is not only transformative but also enduring.
