Parmanand Ramdehol, the suspect in the alleged murder/suicide that claimed the lives of Malinie La Cruz, Waveney LaCruz, and Sue Ann LaCruz, was not a licensed firearm holder.
This was confirmed following checks made at the Guyana Police Force’s Criminal Records Office (CRO), police said in a release.
The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Ideal Road, Soesdyke-Linden Highway. As the investigation unfolds, detectives have canvassed the area and extracted CCTV footage which revealed critical details. The footage showed the now deceased returning home, followed shortly after by the suspect on a motorcycle. It further captured the suspect entering the house behind the victims, after which an argument was overheard on the audio, followed by several loud explosions.
The footage also showed the suspect at a western door consuming a substance from a bottle, after which he collapsed.
A search of Ramdehol’s West Ruimveldt residence turned up nothing illegal. The firearm used in the incident has been sent to the Ballistic Section for analysis.
Seon LaCruz, who sustained injuries, is currently in stable condition. Several persons have since been interviewed as investigations continue.
