Zhao Pe Lizhan, a 60-year-old businessman of D’Urban Backlands, Georgetown, was robbed around 18:55 hrs on Wednesday at WF Fast Food Restaurant, located in D’Urban Backlands.
He was relieved of GYD $70,000 in cash by four identifiable suspects—two males and two females—who are all believed to be juveniles.
According to investigations, the victim was seated behind the counter inside the restaurant when he noticed the suspects enter and approach him. Two of them (a male and a female) grabbed him by the neck and hand, while the other two (also a male and a female) accessed the cash register at the counter and stole the day’s earnings.
The suspects then fled westward into D’Urban Backlands.
The scene was processed, and detectives are currently reviewing CCTV footage as investigations continue.
