The Rebel Tennis Youth Club, in partnership with local wellness group STRIDE592, will host a Father’s Day wellness event on Sunday aimed at raising funds for a junior team’s upcoming training and tournament trip to Sunrise, Florida.
The event, scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. at the Seawall Bandstand in Georgetown, will feature a fun run, walk and yoga session open to the public. Organisers say the initiative promotes community engagement and physical activity while supporting youth development through sport.
Participants can take part in a guided yoga session led by local instructor Tatiana, enter raffles sponsored by Massy and Haliborange, and access health screenings and vouchers provided by the Ministry of Health and Executive Medical Clinic. Discount vouchers from Supreme Laundromat and a range of family-friendly activities, including games, music and refreshments, will also be available.
Trophies for event winners have been donated by Trophy Stall.
The event is supported by a range of local businesses, including Print Zone, Yellow Steel Inc., Smalta, Kai Design Studios, Tandy Manufacturing, Supreme Laundromat, and parents of the Rebel Tennis Club players.
