Police on Monday recovered the body of 27-year-old miner Christopher Stephens from the Puruni River in Region Seven.
Stephens, of Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, was found face down at about 06:20 am, clad in a black jersey, orange boxers and blue shorts. Police said he appeared to have a chop wound to the forehead.
His body was identified by his sister, Catianna Stephens.
