The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has received a valid request from A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) for the recount of ballots cast in Sub-District Four of District Four.
In this regard, the Commission said it will conduct the recount tomorrow from 08:00 hrs, using a total of 25 workstations. The exercise will continue uninterrupted until completion.
In light of this development, the Chief Election Officer, Vishnu Persaud, has written to all political parties to inform them of APNU’s request and to emphasise the need for each party to ensure that at least one accredited agent is present at each workstation.
