Police are investigating a robbery and shooting that occurred tonight at the corner of Oronoque and Crown Streets, leaving one person injured. Eyewitnesses say the suspects rode past moments before stopping and confronting an individual.
“I see them ride pass, and then he tell he girl them man come to rob he,” one eyewitness said. “Then he ride down the one-way, but he ain’t ride fast enough, and the robbers stop he right by the corner. I run and come outside and I see them, but I didn’t know was a robbery.”
Shortly after the confrontation, several gunshots were heard. One person was shot, but the injury is not believed to be serious.
The suspects fled the scene and remain at large. Investigations are ongoing.
