President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali has appointed four new Permanent Secretaries as part of his government’s plan to modernide public service delivery.
The appointments announced on Friday are:
• Sharon Roopchand-Edwards, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Roger Rogers, Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce
• Duan Ellis, Ministry of Agriculture
• Erica Forte, Ministry of Human Services and Social Security
Ali met with Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries to outline his vision for a fully digitized, people-centered public service. He said the reforms will focus on efficiency, transparency, timely delivery, and results-driven performance.
Additional appointments of Permanent Secretaries and senior officials are expected to be announced in the coming days.
