Discussions are set to begin on the integration of the Brand Guyana Gondola into Massy Stores across the Caribbean, the Guyana Office for Investment (GO-Invest) announced on Saturday, following its successful launch at Massy Mega, Turkeyen.
The initiative, led by GO-Invest in partnership with the Guyana Marketing Corporation (GMC) and the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS), will open new markets for Guyanese products in Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Jamaica, and beyond.
The gondola, now a permanent feature at Massy Stores in Turkeyen and Providence, showcases more than 20 GNBS-certified items, including artisanal crème liqueurs, traditional sweets, cassava-based products, pepper sauces, and fruit wines.
“The overwhelming response to the Brand Guyana Gondola reflects the growing recognition of our products, not only here in Guyana but across the Caribbean,” Chief Investment Officer Dr. Peter Ramsaroop said.
The expansion is expected to strengthen regional trade, deepen CARICOM ties, and create greater economic opportunities for Guyana’s manufacturers and agro-processors.
