The Government of Guyana, through the Ministry of Housing and Water and the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA), is inviting contractors, consortia, and individuals to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the construction of housing units across all ten Administrative Regions.

The call, issued on September 30, is part of the administration’s drive to accelerate housing delivery and expand affordable options. Models include low-income two-bedroom units of 650 sq. ft, moderate and middle-income houses up to 1,200 sq. ft, as well as larger high-income and “young professional” units of up to 2,200 sq. ft with modern amenities.

Interested applicants must indicate their preferred regions and submit supporting documents such as business registration, tax compliance certificates, audited 2024 financial statements, evidence of project experience, equipment lists, and staff qualifications. Proposals must also outline financing capacity, construction methodology, detailed cost estimates, and architectural drawings.

Submissions are due by 3:00 p.m. on October 24, 2025, and should be addressed to the Chairman of the CHPA Board at 41 Brickdam and United Nations Place, Georgetown.

According to the CHPA, the initiative is aimed at forging partnerships to deliver a wide range of housing options that meet the needs of Guyanese families at every income level. The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs.

For clarifications, interested parties may contact the CHPA Projects Department during working hours at 227-8886 or 226-1809.
