A Robbery Under Arms unfolded in the Lamaha Park Squatting Area, North Ruimveldt, on Tuesday at approximately 14:30 hours, leaving three individuals targeted by two armed men.
Police reports show that a 33-year-old businesswoman, a 36-year-old foreign national, and a 27-year-old construction worker were inside a shop when two male suspects entered armed with firearms. The assailants threatened the victims at gunpoint, taking cash, jewelry, and mobile phones. The victims were forced to lie face down before the suspects fled on foot toward the east.
The Guyana Police Force, led by a Detective Inspector, visited the scene immediately and began investigations. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning persons in the area. No arrests have been made, and searches for the suspects are ongoing.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation remains active, and the public is urged to report any information that could assist in locating the suspects.
