President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali has extended congratulations and expressed gratitude to all Regional Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) on the completion of their tenure.
In a statement issued on Friday, Dr. Ali said their leadership had translated the Government’s plans and programmes into “tangible outcomes that improved the quality of life across your regions.” He described their service as a “proud example of our Party’s commitment to the people of Guyana.”
The President highlighted the role of regional leaders in the Party’s recent electoral success, stating, “The emphatic victory secured by the PPP/C at the recent elections is due, in no small measure, to the dedication and hard work of comrades like you. Your efforts, leadership, and presence among the people strengthened their faith in our vision and their confidence in our capacity to deliver.”
Dr. Ali further emphasized the importance of continuing to draw on their experience and insight to advance national development. “Your contributions to the Regional Democratic Councils and to the Party are deeply valued. We look forward to your continued involvement in advancing Guyana’s development. Your experience, insight, and record of success are resources we must continue to draw upon as we work together to build a more prosperous and unified nation,” he said.
He concluded by offering “deep appreciation and best wishes” to the outgoing regional leaders, acknowledging their dedication to people-centred development and the Party’s ideals.
