Two leading Guyanese entrepreneurs coached by ActionCOACH Guyana have received international recognition at the prestigious BizX 2025 Awards, held from October 26–28 in Houston, Texas. Pritipaul Singh Jr., Managing Director of Guyana Port Inc., won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, while Candace Wickham, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Procare Therapy and Wellness Centre, was named Female Entrepreneur of the Year.
Accepting his award, Singh credited faith, family, and teamwork as the driving forces behind his company’s success.
“I live by a quote from Jim Rohn: ‘Success is not something you pursue; it’s something you attract by the person you become.’ Tonight is about faith, purpose, perseverance, and the discipline to keep moving forward. I give it all to God for the opportunities and blessings that have brought me here,” he said.

In an emotional acceptance speech, Wickham reflected on her journey from humble beginnings to building one of Guyana’s most impactful therapy centres.
“As a special language therapist, I wanted to make a greater impact in the lives of children and families. I was born on December 3rd—International Day of Persons with Disabilities—and I truly believe I’m living my divine purpose. Today, Procare Therapy and Wellness Centre supports more than 67 children, helping many go from being unable to speak or walk to achieving incredible milestones,” she said.
Her coach, Coach Keon, praised her commitment.
“From vision to victory! Candace’s discipline and ownership made this BizX win inevitable,” he said.
Chairman of ActionCOACH Guyana, Dr. Vishnu Doerga, noted that he is incredibly proud of Singh’s success.
“His relentless drive to improve and his bold vision for Guyana Port Inc. continue to set new standards for excellence in the maritime sector. This achievement reflects his success and amplifies the transformative impact he is creating for Guyana’s growth and global competitiveness. For more than a decade, ActionCOACH Guyana has been elevating the standards at which the nation’s leading companies operate, and this milestone stands as another powerful example of that mission in action,” he said.
