The British Chamber of Commerce Guyana (BritCham Guyana) raised more than US$21,000 for the Jamaica Hurricane Relief Fund at its Business Forum and Networking Event held Thursday at Stamford Bridge Stadium, home of Chelsea FC.
The funds were collected through an auction and contributions from members and supporters across the UK-Guyana network, the chamber said.
The event brought together business leaders and investors to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities between Guyana and the United Kingdom.
Reggae icons Maxi Priest and Luciano made special guest appearances, adding star appeal to the day’s proceedings.
BritCham described the forum as a success, noting that it combined business engagement with support for a regional humanitarian cause.
