A 48-year-old security chief died on Sunday after falling from the roof of a building at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, police said.
The deceased, Kevin Browne, of Apiqua Lane, Guyhoc Park, Georgetown, was the Chief Security Officer of Sheriff Security. According to investigators, Browne had gone onto the roof of the INFAB building around midday to inspect water damage when a section reportedly gave way, causing him to fall several feet onto a concrete surface.
Workers rushed him to the Enmore Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said the body was taken to Sandy’s Funeral Parlour, where it awaits a post-mortem examination. An investigation is ongoing.
