Two men were injured on Sunday night in a drive-by shooting at Lover’s Lane, Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden. The incident occurred around 22:30 hrs and left a 32-year-old vendor with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 36-year-old carpenter nursing a gunshot wound to the foot.
According to initial investigations, the vendor was standing in front of his shop while the carpenter was walking nearby when a motor car drove up and stopped next to them. An individual inside the vehicle allegedly opened fire, discharging several rounds in their direction.
Both men were taken to the Linden Hospital Complex, where they were treated. The vendor was later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for further medical care, while the carpenter remains at the Linden Hospital Complex. Both are listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.
