Bradley Sampson, also known as “Doggie,” and Mikhail Rodrigues, popularly called “Guyanese Critic,” have somehow secured a place in a legitimate boxing match to be organised by the Guyana Boxing Board of Control (GBBC).
Sampson announced the fight during a recent media interview, stating that the bout is scheduled for February 15, 2026.
Although expected to be an exhibition match, the fight is slated for three rounds, each lasting two minutes. The contract has been signed by Sampson and by GBBC President Peter Abdool.
However, it remains unclear whether Rodrigues has signed his portion of the contract or named a substitute, as allowed under the agreement.
Sampson said he has already started training, while national boxer Keevin Allicock posted on Facebook that he is training Rodrigues, adding that “Guyanese Critic” possesses “a serious right hand.”
Both men have traded insults on social media, and the bout is expected to settle their ongoing feud. The fight will be held at the National Stadium as part of a major boxing card to be announced later.
