Lorian Toney, 34, an ambulance driver of Tabatinga, Central Rupununi, was on Tuesday fined $1,000,000 and sentenced to one year imprisonment after pleading guilty to an offence under the Cybercrime Act 2018.
Toney appeared before His Worship Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on December 2, 2025, where she admitted to using a computer system to humiliate, harass, and cause substantial emotional distress to Maxine Hendricks, in violation of Section 19(2)(a) of the Act and contrary to Section 19(5)(a).
She was originally arrested on September 25, 2025.
