The Ministry of Home Affairs said an unknown individual unlawfully entered its building early Monday morning, prompting a security alert and police investigation.
The ministry said security personnel detected the intruder via CCTV around 04:00 hours and raised the alarm. An officer attempted to apprehend the person but was unsuccessful. The Guyana Police Force was notified immediately, and an investigation is ongoing.
