The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) on has launched its newest Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Royal Orchid Mall, marking the bank’s 22nd ATM location nationwide.
The machine is strategically positioned to serve residents, businesses and visitors in Georgetown, East Bank, Ruimveldt, East La Penitence and surrounding areas, providing expanded access to fast and secure banking services in a rapidly growing commercial corridor.
GBTI, which installed Guyana’s first ATM, said the new location reinforces its leadership in banking technology and electronic services. Some branches offer multiple ATMs to improve efficiency and service capacity, the bank added.
The Royal Orchid Mall ATM provides 24/7 access, cash withdrawals, balance inquiries, and supports Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, both local and international.
“As Guyana continues to grow and evolve, so must our banking infrastructure,” said GBTI Chief Executive Officer Shawn Gurcharran.
He added: “The opening of this new ATM at the Royal Orchid Mall underscores our commitment to meeting customers where they are and ensuring financial access remains convenient, secure, and future-ready. We are proud to celebrate our 20th ATM location as we continue to lead the way in expanding modern, reliable, and customer-focused banking services across Guyana.”
GBTI said it remains committed to strengthening financial access through ongoing investments in technology, infrastructure, and digital delivery, ensuring banking is secure, convenient and widely accessible for all Guyanese and visitors.
