Xavier Fraser, a 27-year-old taxi driver from Plum Park, Sophia, was killed in a shooting on Sunday evening, police said.
The incident occurred around 22:36 at Mercy Wing, Plum Park, Sophia. Preliminary investigations indicate Fraser sustained gunshot injuries at the location.
A 19-year-old male, also from Plum Park, was injured in the same incident and was admitted to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he remains in stable condition. Fraser was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
The body is at the hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage as the investigation continues.
Police said the circumstances surrounding the shooting are under active investigation.
