The outdoor basketball court at the National Gymnasium will undergo a makeover from January 15 to January 23, the National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced.
This temporary closure is part of the NSC’s ambitious initiative to upgrade and maintain sports facilities nationwide, ensuring they meet the highest standards for training, competition, and major events.
Steve Ninvalle, Director of Sport, emphasised that this upgrade is a crucial step in fulfilling the NSC’s mission, under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, to keep all facilities in prime condition for athletes.
The outdoor basketball court is just the first in a series of improvements, with additional venues slated for enhancements in the coming months.
The NSC urges all stakeholders and regular users to take note of this closure period.
