There is no confirmed death of Jamal Bourne, also known as “Skinny,” police said, amid reports circulating on social media.
Bourne, wanted in connection with the September 12, 2024, murder of Akeem Hamer at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, appeared in a Facebook Live video on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in which he allegedly inflicted a gunshot wound on himself. The video also reportedly showed him with others and displaying several suspected firearms. The footage has since been removed from the original page.
The Guyana Police Force said no official reports of his death have been received in any of the country’s 12 policing regions. Investigations are ongoing to verify the video’s location and the circumstances of the incident.
