Police in Regional Division Seven arrested a 40-year-old man on Friday after seizing 23.2 grams of suspected cannabis and $3,009,440 in cash during an intelligence-led operation, authorities said.
Officers conducted a search of the man’s residence on Fifth Avenue between 10:30 and 11:20 a.m., recovering thirteen zip-lock parcels containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
The suspect was taken to the Bartica Police Station, where the seized drugs and cash were lodged pending further investigation.
He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
