Police in Regional Division Nine are investigating the discovery of 459 grams of suspected cannabis concealed in macaroni and cheese boxes during an operation in Tabatinga, Lethem, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said ranks intercepted a woman riding an electric bicycle with a cardboard box attached at about 1515 hours.
A search of the box revealed several macaroni and cheese packages containing transparent plastic parcels with leaves, seeds and stems believed to be cannabis.The suspect, a 30-year-old housewife from Lethem, was arrested and taken to the Lethem Police Station, where the substance was weighed and lodged.
She remains in custody as investigations continue.
