Guysons Chief Executive Officer Faizal Khan has been re-elected chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce Guyana (BritCham Guyana) on Thursday.
A release said Khan’s re-election continues the chamber’s focus on strengthening trade and investment ties between Guyana and the United Kingdom, while promoting private sector collaboration and economic development.
Also re-elected were Liam O’Toole, COO of Nations Inc., as treasurer, and Anand Harrilall, group chief strategy officer at Beharry Holdings Inc., as secretary.
BritCham Guyana said its newly constituted board brings together business leaders across multiple sectors, including Claire Antell-Thorne of Wilderness Explorers, Adrian Barrow of Insurance Brokers Guyana Ltd, Robert Hiscock of ENet, Richard Stanton of One Communications, Tim Miller OBE of Control Risks Guyana Services Inc., and Chris Bennett of the Caribbean Council.
The chamber said the board aims to expand membership, strengthen UK-Guyana business partnerships, advocate for policies that ease doing business, and increase member value through events and business support initiatives.
The release noted that BritCham Guyana reaffirmed its commitment to fostering private sector growth and deepening trade and investment between Guyana and the United Kingdom.
