Golfers and fans can expect a day of competition and flair this Sunday as Lusignan Golf Club hosts the ANSA McAL Aperol Spritz Golf Tournament, a featured event on the club’s calendar that promises strong play, prizes and a visible sponsor presence on the course.
The one-day, 18-hole tournament will bring together players across the field, with top honours and specialty prizes up for grabs. Competitors will vie for podium finishes and standout performances on key holes.
Prize categories include Best Net (1st, 2nd and 3rd place), Overall Best Gross, Nearest to the Flag – Hole #4, and Longest Drive – Hole #5.
LGC Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joaan Deo, welcomed the partnership behind the event, noting its value to the local game.
“Events like the ANSA McAL Aperol Spritz Tournament are important for the continued growth and visibility of golf in Guyana. They create competitive opportunities for our players while also bringing a fresh, engaging atmosphere to the sport. We are pleased to see corporate partners investing in the game and helping us build a stronger golfing community,” she said.
The tournament sponsor, ANSA McAL, is one of the region’s most established distribution and beverage companies. Its Aperol Spritz brand, internationally associated with social and celebratory experiences, adds a distinctive hospitality element to the competition.
The tournament will begin at 08:00 am on Sunday, with the presentation of prizes scheduled for approximately 12:30 pm following the completion of play.
Registration closes at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Interested players can register by contacting Lusignan Golf Club at 620-0093.
