The Government of Guyana on Saturday called for the sustained pursuit of peace and stability in the Middle East and condemned what it described as Iran’s unprovoked attacks on Gulf states.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said Iran’s actions against the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait were unjustified and in breach of international law.
Guyana condemned the attacks on the sovereign states and called on all parties to de-escalate in the interest of peace and stability in the region.
The government also expressed full solidarity with the governments and peoples of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait, condemning all actions by Iran in attacking those countries.
