A 36-year-old businessman was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly arranging and paying part of a fee to have another man kidnapped, Police said.
Acting on information received, police said the man, of Alexander Village, Georgetown, allegedly handed over a quantity of cash as part payment during an intelligence-led operation.
He was taken into custody, and the cash was lodged as evidence, police said.
Investigations are ongoing.
