Natasha Singh-Lewis resigns from the PNCR

Opposition Member of Parliament Natasha Singh-Lewis has resigned from the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) with immediate effect. She has also relinquished her seat in the National Assembly.

Singh-Lewis noted her unwavering commitment to the people who entrusted her with the responsibility to serve. She stated that her decision was not taken lightly but was guided by her dedication to public service and the principles she holds dear.

Singh-Lewis, who was elected to Parliament in 2020 under the A Partnership for National Unity + Alliance For Change (APNU+AFC) coalition, served as the Shadow Minister of Human Services and Social Security. She was also a member of the Parliamentary Sectoral Committee on Social Services, playing a vocal role in issues related to women, children, and social welfare.

In recent times, several prominent PNCR members have also resigned from the party. These include former Minister of Communities Ronald Bulkan, former General Secretary Geeta Chandan-Edmond, Region Four Chairman Daniel Seeram, Region Four Vice Chairman Samuel Sandy, and Member of Parliament Amanza Walton-Desir.
