Jermaine Figueira has become the latest member to resign from the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR).
In a terse letter, the young politician from Linden announced his resignation from the Central Executive and membership of the PNCR, as well as his post as the party’s representative in the National Assembly of Guyana.
Figueira in his letter addressed to PNCR Leader Aubrey Norton said his resignation takes immediate effect.
Figueira, who has had clashes with party leader Norton, joins a growing list of members who have recently walked away from the PNCR. These include former Minister of Communities Ronald Bulkan, former PNCR General Secretary Geeta Chandan-Edmond, prominent parliamentarian Amanza Walton-Desir, Region Four Chairman Daniel Seeram, and Region Four Vice Chairman Samuel Sandy.
