Slingerz FC win Elite League title with games to spare

Slingerz Football Club has triumphantly claimed the championship title of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League, showcasing their dominance with an astounding 11-0 victory over Fruta Conquerors at the GFF National Training Centre in Providence on Sunday.
With three matches still to play, their title was confirmed after the Guyana Police Force FC and Guyana Defence Force FC played to a 2-2 draw, leaving Slingerz 12 points clear of both teams, who are tied for second place on 31 points.
This championship triumph underscores Slingerz’s remarkable consistency and formidable defense, having conceded only three goals throughout the entire season.
Looking ahead, the newly crowned champions aim to complete the season undefeated and could even reach the 100-goal milestone, having already netted 92.
