Ten-year-old Zion Hickerson has attracted the attention of two prominent European football clubs, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, both of which have offered him spots in their youth academies in New York.
Hickerson impressed scouts during a recent tryout at the Juventus Academy on Randall’s Island, and both clubs are eager to include him for the 2025/26 season. However, his family plans to delay his move to the US until the 2026/27 season so he can complete his National Grade Six Assessment, according to his father, Orin Hickerson.
Currently a student at St. Gabriel’s Primary School, Zion is also preparing to captain his team in the upcoming Courts Optical Pee Wee Football Competition in Guyana.
In addition to football, he is a budding tennis player and is set to compete in the Little Mo International Tournament in Florida this December.
