The Ministry of Health is providing support to ensure that all injured persons from Sunday night’s incident at the Mobil fuel station on Regent and King Streets, Georgetown, receive the best possible care.

The tragedy claimed the life of six-year-old Soraya Bourne and left several others injured, including little Sadiya McClintock, Rashad Lord, Genica Hooper, and Yvonne Jonas — all attached to the education sector.

Education Minister, Sonia Parag, on Monday visited Soraya’s family to extend condolences and offer the Ministry’s full support to those affected. She assured relatives that President Irfaan Ali, Minister of Home Affairs Oneidge Walrond, and law enforcement agencies are working diligently to apprehend the main suspect and bring him to justice.

Minister Parag, accompanied by Chief Planning Officer Mischka White-Griffith, said the tragedy has deeply affected the entire nation.
