Police in Berbice have launched an investigation into the alleged murder of Imran Kadir, called “Shut Pon Shoulder,” a 56-year-old labourer of Lot D King Street, Belvedere Settlement, Corentyne, Berbice.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. on November 1, 2025, and 9:00 a.m. on November 2, 2025, at Belvedere Settlement.
Kadir was reportedly found dead under circumstances that have prompted a full-scale police investigation.
A 32-year-old carpenter, also of Belvedere Settlement, has been arrested and is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
