Banks Beer Cup Golf Tournament to tee off Sunday at Lusignan Golf Club

The Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) will host the Banks Beer Cup Golf Tournament on Sunday, with play beginning at 8:00 am.

The 18-hole competition will be conducted under the Medal Play format, with local and regional golfers expected to compete for prizes in categories including Best Net (1st–3rd place), Overall Best Gross, Ladies Best Net, Nearest to the Flag on Hole 4, and Longest Drive on Hole 5.

The Banks Beer Cup, sponsored by Banks DIH Limited, is one of Guyana’s most anticipated sporting events, reflecting the company’s long-standing support for golf and other sports in the country, a release said. Banks DIH, founded in the 1840s as a rum and beverage operation, has grown into a diversified conglomerate known for producing and distributing brands such as Banks Beer.

Through initiatives like the tournament, Banks DIH aims to promote friendly competition, healthy lifestyles, and national pride.
