The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has commended the Local Content Secretariat (LCS) for efforts to streamline the processing of local content certificates.
The initiative, aimed at improving efficiency, sets clear timelines and enables businesses to access the certificates in a more timely manner.
The GCCI said it has maintained ongoing discussions with the secretariat on issues affecting local businesses, including processing times and updates to the Local Content Act Schedule of Services.
The chamber added that it looks forward to continued dialogue with the LCS and expects the move to enhance the ease of doing business in Guyana.
