A 42-year-old man died on Wednesday after being stabbed during an alleged argument at Recht Door Zee, West Bank Demerara, police said.
The deceased, identified as Peter Michael Rawlins, a porter from Tucville, Georgetown, was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff, according to authorities.
A 27-year-old female Special Constable, who reportedly shared a relationship with Rawlins and resides at the same address, was arrested and remains in custody, assisting with the investigation.
Rawlins’ body is at Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination. Police said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
