Police have arrested three persons, including two juveniles, in connection with the alleged assault of a 16-year-old male student at De Willem, West Coast Demerara, authorities said on Thursday.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, January 21, when the teenager was attacked by several individuals and struck multiple times to the face and body with a cutlass and a rope, police said.
Those arrested include two boys aged 16 and 15, and a 19-year-old man, all from Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara. Police said all remain in custody as investigations continue.
