Nationals to remain at Leonora

The National Schools Athletics Championships is on the horizon, and a venue has been confirmed for the long-running event.
The National Track and Field Centre at Leonora has been selected for this year’s edition of the championships, according to sources close to the organisers.

With the recent opening of the Bayrock National Stadium, Linden will have to wait at least another year for the opportunity to host the School Championships.

Sources familiar with the upkeep of the Leonora facility have noted that the track is in excellent condition ahead of the event in March.
The championships are scheduled to be held from March 11 to 13.
