Michel Daniels, 21, and Miguel Daniels, 23, both of Prospect, East Bank Demerara, died following a three-vehicle collision on Union Public Road, West Coast Demerara, on Thursday morning, police said.
The men were occupants of motor car PAC 9853, driven by a 23-year-old man, which was travelling east at an alleged high speed when the driver lost control, crossed onto the southern side of the road and collided head-on with minibus BWW 4493 travelling west.
A third vehicle, motor car PAE 4787, travelling behind the minibus, reportedly swerved after the initial impact, struck the rear of the bus and veered off the roadway.
The injured, including the drivers and passengers involved, were taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital. Michel and Miguel Daniels were pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said CCTV footage has been obtained as investigations continue.
