The body of the pilot has been recovered following the crash of an Air Services Limited Cessna 208 aircraft, registration 8R-YAC.
The Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) confirmed that members of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Special Forces successfully reached the crash site and retrieved the remains.
Preparations are currently underway for extraction from the site.
