Roger Callendar has resigned as President of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF) with immediate effect, stepping down after just over a year in the role.
Callendar said the decision was driven by personal reasons, adding that he believes the time has come to make way for new leadership to take the federation forward.
During his tenure, he played a key role in staging national bodybuilding competitions, strengthening the federation’s operations and supporting the growth of athletes across the country.
He also worked to keep Guyana active on the regional bodybuilding circuit while encouraging greater participation in the sport locally.
His resignation brings an unexpected close to his presidency and marks the start of a new chapter for the GBBFF as the federation prepares to chart its future under new leadership.
