Brava, a leading communications and ICT provider in the Caribbean and Latin America, has announced a strategic partnership with Cloud Carib Limited, the region’s foremost provider of sovereign cloud infrastructure and managed services.
According to a release, the alliance marks a significant advancement in the delivery of secure, regionally compliant, and high-performance digital solutions for enterprises, governments, and service providers across the region.
The partnership leverages Brava’s expansive subsea and terrestrial fibre network and its robust Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) capabilities alongside Cloud Carib’s proven sovereign cloud platforms and deep expertise in managed services.
The unified offering aims to provide a resilient and scalable IT ecosystem that ensures data sovereignty, compliance with local regulations, and robust cybersecurity measures — all within the borders of the Caribbean and Latin America.
Key Features of the Partnership Include:
• Sovereign cloud platforms hosted across seven regional data centres: two in The Bahamas, and one each in Barbados, Jamaica, Ecuador, Panama, and Canada. New facilities are planned for Guyana, Bermuda, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Cayman Islands.
• Access to Brava’s extensive network infrastructure, including subsea, terrestrial, and mobile assets.
• Combined expertise from a skilled regional team, comprising 85 Cloud Carib staff and 45 certified engineers holding over 400 certifications across 60 technologies.
• 24/7/365 support and proactive management, ensuring business continuity and rapid incident response.
• Adherence to global standards, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, and CSA STAR Level 2 compliance.
“As governments and enterprises across the region continue to prioritise digital transformation, Cloud Carib remains committed to delivering cloud and cybersecurity solutions that are built in the region, for the region,” said Victor Kovacs, Chief Operating Officer of Cloud Carib. “This partnership with Brava allows us to enhance our offering with enterprise-class connectivity and ensure that our clients have access to truly sovereign, secure, and scalable infrastructure, backed by global standards and regional insight,” he said.
Brava’s Chief Executive Officer, Conor McGowan, expressed enthusiasm about the shared vision. “This partnership is a game-changer — not just for Brava and Cloud Carib, but for every business in the region. It’s the result of years of alignment and shared ambition. Together, we’re delivering a premium experience that simply hasn’t existed before — combining Brava’s subsea and fibre infrastructure and MSSP capabilities with Cloud Carib’s sovereign, secure cloud solutions.”
According to the release, the joint offering is available immediately and features tailored packages to support digital transformation in critical sectors including financial services, healthcare, education, and public sector organisations. Clients will benefit from local support and globally benchmarked performance as the partnership seeks to redefine cloud and connectivity standards across the Caribbean and Latin America.
