Consumers of Samsung electronic domestic products in Guyana will now experience enhanced benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This comes with the official launch of Brydens Guyana Inc. – the master distributor of Samsung products in Guyana – at the Pegasus Hotel last evening.

The company unveiled its new Bespoke AI Series, featuring a number of advanced products, including televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves, and others.

With the series, consumers have the opportunity to experience digital AI appliances which can be personalised to suit their specific needs, are colourful, and save time and energy.

They also include a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Speaking at the launch event, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brydens, Natasha Das, highlighted the vital role of distributors to Guyana’s supply chain and customer experience, as she related that the company has built a strong relationship with Samsung over the past year.

“We are an essential link, connecting manufacturers to trusted retailers and ensuring we deliver high quality products to consumers who rely on them. Over the past year we have built a strong and fruitful relationship with Samsung, founded on trust, collaboration, and shared goals. On our first year with Samsung, we have exceeded our targets by almost a hundred per cent. This remarkable achievement speaks volumes about Samsung as an innovative brand and also Brydens as the ability to take on challenges head on,” she said.

Das noted that the company has also recognised the importance of working closely with retailers, emphasising that together they have the ability to streamline the supply chain with reduced costs and enhance overall efficiency.

She added that Brydens is committed to having readily available stock, free delivery, flexible credit facilities, and delivering robust market support, as it looks forward to unveiling new plans in growth and innovation.

Senior Minister in the Office of the President with Responsibility for Finance and Public Service, Dr. Ashni Singh, in his address, welcomed Brydens, as he highlighted that this signals that Samsung views Guyana as a sufficiently important market with significant growth prospects.

He urged that Guyanese consumers enjoy the same level of service, including after-sales services, which they would be able to enjoy anywhere else in the world.

This, he noted, is part of the transformation into a truly modern society.

“The same manufacturer’s warranty that is provided in the major capitals of metropolises of the world must also be provided in Guyana so that the Guyanese consumers can enjoy the same privileges and rights like any other consumer anywhere else in the world,” Dr Singh said as he noted that with changes in the Guyanese consumer market, improvement in customer service is essential.

“It is precisely for that reason we welcome the appointment of Brydens Guyana Inc as the master distributor for Samsung products in Guyana. Because what that means is that Guyanese consumers of Samsung products will now be better able to enjoy a wider range of your excellent products, including the same range of products that Samsung has available and is manufactured in this market including all of the customer rights and privileges that are afforded by Samsung,” he added.

Dr. Singh said the launch is an importantly symbolic event, as the physical transformation taking place in Guyana is a manifestation of rare economic growth.

“We appreciate your recognition that there is a rapidly growing consumer base in Guyana for your products, sufficiently so to merit and to warrant the appointment of a master distributor,” he noted.
