In the wake of the heartbreaking death of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge, whose lifeless body was found last Thursday in a pool at the Double Day Hotel, her father, Subrian Younge, is making a heartfelt appeal to the public to end the violence.

A post-mortem examination conducted on Monday concluded that Adrianna died by drowning. However, the findings have sparked outrage among members of the public, many of whom have expressed doubt and frustration. The announcement triggered widespread unrest, including incidents of rioting, looting, and fires in several areas.

Amid the growing tension, Adrianna’s father released an emotional video message calling for calm and urging those who support his daughter to protest peacefully.

“Everybody out there who seh they love Adrianna, and want to be there for Adrianna, Adrianna won’t like violence. I telling y’all the truth from my heart,” he said. “From my heart, Adrianna don’t like violence, Adrianna is not a violent girl. So if y’all please love me daughter, y’all please stop the violence, y’all please protest in a normal way.”

President Dr Irfaan Ali, First Lady Arya Ali, AFC Leader Nigel Hughes and other senior figures in society have also called for an end to the violence.

The police have warned that instigators and participants in the criminal acts will be prosecuted.
